Ahhh, Spring! With the global climate change, the concept of “Spring” has become rather dashy in these parts of the world. Temperatures can be as high as 20 degrees Celsius in March or the beginning of April, only to fall to outright chilly values in the following months. Or temperatures remain suspended around 14 degrees from February until the end of May, with trees waiting to explode into light yellow and green. In the course of time, occupants of the houses surrounding have managed to plant an amazing variety of flower bulbs which never fail to bloom in March and April: daffodils, crocuses and snowdrops. Every year, on a Saturday at the end of April, neighbourhood residents gather to rid the park of any litter, junk (and New Year’s Eve fireworks) it contracted throughout the year.
